Mailbox for iOS updated, brings support for Gmail aliases and landscape mode

The popular email client, Mailbox for iOS, has been updated to support landscape mode, and Gmail’s ‘send as’ aliases for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.

The Dropbox-acquired app was released earlier this year for iPhone and iPod only, which was later updated to bring support for iPad as well. The application is a great alternative for all those iOS users who have trouble working with the official Gmail app. In the recent update, the application introduced twomuch-awaited features including the landscape mode support and Gmail send as aliases that allow users to send emails using any of your email address instead of your Gmail address.
You can set up aliases by going to Mailbox settings to use them within the app. If you are already using Mailbox and updated the app, it will automatically show you a message about how to set up Gmail aliases.
I am using this application since beta and never looked back. The default mail application for iOS may be good but it does not provide as many features as Mailbox and most importantly, the interface ; It’s simple, elegant and user-friendly.
The newly updated application can be downloaded from the App Store for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Do you use Mailbox on your iOS device? If not, I will recommend you to give it a try and you will not be disappointed.
