Nokia Lumia 720 in India after 10% price cut

After a roughly 10% discount in India, the Nokia Lumia 720 is now priced at 17,148 INR ($303 USD) online at Flipkart. Back in April, the device cost 18,999 INR ($335 USD). The phone has received about 500 comments on the Indian online retailer's website, mostly positive. The Nokia Lumia 720 in black is available and will be delivered in just 2 to 3 business days. The same phone in white, red or yellow won't be delivered until the 8th through 10th day after being ordered.

The Nokia Lumia 720 offers a 4.3 inch screen with resolution of 480 x 800 (WVGA) and a pixel density of just 217 ppi. A dual-core 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU is under the hood with the Adreno 305 GPU also on board. 512MB of RAM is inside along with 8GB of native storage which can be expanded with the use of a 64GB capacity microSD slot. On back is the phone's primary camera, a 6.7 MP snapper. The f/1.9 aperture allows for outstanding low-light photography. The camera on back captures video at 1280 x 720 at 30fps and a 1.3MPfront-facing camera is great for taking "selfies".The 2000mAh battery keeps the lights on.

Low to mid-range models do well in India where the general consumer population cannot afford to buy high-end smartphones. We recently mentioned that Apple has had to resort to aggressive pricing tactics for the Apple iPhone in the country, which has resulted in a fourfold increase in sales.
