Sony introduces voice control and more to the new Google TV set-top box, as announced in Sony's official blog.
According to the blog post users can operate Google TV with the Universal Voice-Activated Remote, "just say 'ABC' into the Sony remote and you're quickly browsing results. It's as easy as, uh, well, A-B-C."
Customers can also customise apps and share content from a mobile device to the new Internet Player, without the use of any wires or attachments.
Sony has also stated that you do not need an Android device in order to operate the sharing system, as the Airtight app can be downloaded for iPhone, iPad,iPod Touch and iTunes for £0.69.
The Airtight app operates in the background while using your device and enables airplay functionality with Google TV.
Sony's new Google TV product offers live TV, single episodes, entire seasons, games, websites and more - without switiching inputs or remotes.
When operating in Google Chrome, the new device allows for search terms rather than full URLs, as well as featuring a Flash Media Player for Flash-based video viewing.
Sony has stated that the NSZ-GS8 will launch in Sony stores and other electronics retailers in early July, priced at $199.
