Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Launch Extravaganza Planned for September

The latest reports from Korea point to aSamsung Galaxy Note 3 launch event taking place on the first day of IFA press events, a typical Samsung move to get the Galaxy Note 3 out in front of an avalanche of new products.
Rumors of a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 launch at IFA are almost as old as the Galaxy S4 which launched earlier this year at a major media spectacle in New York City.
In early July rumors took shape pointing to a September 4th Galaxy Note 3 launch at IFA, and even though it appears Samsung ran into some production issues another source claims Samsung is planning for a major reveal on September 4th in Berlin.

IFA 2013 officially runs from September 6th to September 11th in Berlin, but the show starts two days earlier on September 4th for members of the press who can come early to meet and go hands on with announcements from major electronics companies.
Samsung headlined the IFA show last year by announcing the new Galaxy Note at a special event before the show started and appears set to do it again.

Korean news publication Asiee.co.kr reports that Samsung is planning a September 4th unveiling for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 at IFA 2013. The event will also reportedly include the Samsung Gear announcement which includes the rumored Samsung Galaxy Watch.

Unsurprisingly the Galaxy Note 3 event is tipped as a Samsung Mobile Unpacked event, which means we can expect a lot of showmanship, possibly an orchestra and a host of memorable and forgettable characters. If this follows previous events, look for a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 teaser video to arrive in the middle of August, like the one below.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will reportedly use a 5.7-inch AMOLED display, previously rumored to ship with a 1920 x 1080 resolution on par with the displays found in most flagship smartphones. The long rumored flexible display will not make it to production according to this source.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is said to use a variety of processors, which could include the just announced Samsung Exynos Octa 5 processor and some versions with a Snapdragon 800 processor. This report lines up with previous claims that the device will use 3GB of RAM. We expect the device will run Android 4.3, and may be the first phone to ship with Android 4.3 on board.
Expect a 13MP camera on the rear of the Galaxy Note 3, a step up from the Galaxy Note 2′s 8MP camera.

Little is known about the final Galaxy Note 3 design, but the photo above from Wiebo shows a large screen with the familiar Samsung home button and capacitive buttons on the sides. Galaxy Note 3 prototype leaks depict a boxy design that is not likely the final version. In the past Samsung used dummy boxes to hide the design of the Galaxy S3.
An early September reveal could put the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date on track for late October or early November in the U.S., though Verizon customers may need to wait longer as the carrier is typically a month behind AT&T for releasing new Samsung smartphones.
