Executive - Logistics (National & International) - Mumbai


COMPANY PROFILE:


Since 1992 the Company has been active in the Indian film industry installing Dolby Cinema and studio products offering technical know-how to set-up Dolby Film mixing studios and interaction closely with the film community for the production of Dolby SR and Dolby Digital Sound Tracks.

So far the Company has over 800 cinema installations to its credit and is also well known for introduction of advanced technology and maintaining high standards.

The Company is also a leading manufacturer of consumer and pro-audio products.




Logistics Functions:

Surface and air transport on national level.

Sea and air transport on international level

Transit Insurance, damage claim, etc.

Regulations, and tax compliance for moving cargo nationally.


Imports, Exports and custom formalities internationally.

Custom duties, classification, etc.

Co-ordination between factory accounts, sales persons and end customer.

Co-ordination with overseas supplier, freight forwarder, CHA and production department

Negotiation of rates for various sectors with freight forwarders and CHA.

Coordination with the freight forwarders and ensure logistics as per promised time frames.

Plan dispatch schedule as per orders.

Execute necessary packaging of goods to be dispatched.

Implement necessary proper marking on consignment.

Prepare supporting outward documents.

Arrange for labour & transport for lifting consignment.

Line up with transport agency for tracking consignment in transit.

Interact with consignee to ensure intact receipt of consignment.


Commercial Functions:

Bill verification of supplier for payments.

Prepare credit and debit notes.

Periodic evaluation of transporters performance v/s agreement.

Verification of periodic bills submitted by transporter.

Liaison with octroi checkpoint authorities for clearing consignments.

Line up for insurance claims through open policy or transport agency.


Stores Functions:

Receipts & inspection of goods.

Prepare inward documents.

Apply bar codes and tags to goods

Allocate goods to their respective places.

Proper inward & outward of sales and purchase returns.

Maintain up-to-date stock cards / ledger.

Day-to-day cross checking of physical stock with book stock.

Line up with production department for schedule and requirements.


Qualification : Degree and/or Diploma in EXIM / Supply Chain

Skills : Excellent English Communication (spoken & written), Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, etc.)
