Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini – Exynos 5210 CPU Inside?
Apparently, a spec-sheet containing detailed information about Mini’s hardware and software characteristics has been leaked. Sources say that this list “confirms” the gadget’s components, but let’s be real for a moment: it’s not confirmed unless Samsung says so.
Nevertheless, here’s what this purported spec-sheet suggests:
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini will pack a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 540 x 960, 1 GB of RAM – 3G variant, 2 GB of RAM – LTE model, 32 GB of internal storage, an 8 MP rear-facing camera, and a 2,100 mAh battery. One big annoyance is that, according to this leak, the handset will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which is a bit hard to believe considering the fact that the S3 Mini before it came with Jelly Bean out of the box.
In addition, the highlight of the leak is definitely the idea that the S4 Mini will benefit from the big.LITTLE processor technology which we’ve seen on one of the Galaxy S4 models (way more powerful on the S4).
In other words, the CPU inside this thing would be clocked at 1.6 GHz, and would pack two separate cores, one of them with a Cortex-A7 architecture, and the other based on Cortex-A15 specifications.
In the end, the S4 Mini shapes up to be an interesting device, but remember that, at this point, nothing is set in stone. Also, people nowadays seem to use the term “confirmed” way too loosely. Thanks Sam Mobile
