How To Bring Back the Start Menu on Windows 8

When Microsoft first revealed that it would betaking out the Start Button and Start Menu inWindows 8 the response was loud. Either users wanted to hold onto the old and focus on using Desktop applications with the Start Button and Start Menu, or they were perfectly fine embracing the new, and learned how to use the new Start Screen.
Though Microsoft has made it clear that it’s heard feedback on both sides of the aisle and is ready to make concessions (most notably the return of the Start Button to its place on the taskbar) it hasn’t indicated that it will do anything of the sort when it comes to the Start Menu.
Instead, even after the Windows 8.1 update, users who want to avoid the Start Screen completely will still be in need of a way to make Windows do what they want. Thankfully, there are more than a few solutions out there: we’ve covered a few like Start Menu Reviver, and our favorite so far been Classic Shell.
Here’s how to use Classic Shell to get back both that Start Menu and Start Button right now, without having to wait for Windows 8.1 or pay for pricy alternatives.
Start Menu 1
Download the Classic Shell. As it’s free you won’t be prompted to present credit card information or payment methods of any sort though you can donate to the project.
Start Menu 2
Once you’ve finished the download, run the application by double clicking the file you’ve downloaded, or use the Run button that pops up in your web browser of choice. Remember to read and agree to the Terms of Service. You’ll be prompted by Windows to give the application permission to install. Do so by clicking ‘Yes.’
Start Menu 3
Once the installation is finished you’ll notice two things. The first is that you’ll now find a colorful new Start Button on your taskbar. The second is that clicking that button will trigger with a blank Start Menu that matches the color of your computer’s Aero interface. Don’t worry if it’s blank. As you use more apps it’ll auto populate with the apps you frequently open, whether they are Metro applications or desktop applications.
You can still access the Start Screen by holding the Shift button on your keyboard and clicking on the Start Button at the same time, or by bringing up the Charms in the right, top corner of your screen.
Start Menu 4
You can choose between different skins that are based on older versions of the Start Menu by right clicking on the new Start Button and then clicking settings. These include everything from a version that is inspired by the Metro design language to one that’s as barebones as the version included in Windows 98. From here you’ll also find options for adjusting text size and so forth.
Start Menu 5
In Basic Settings there are also options to completely control your experience so that you’ll never have to look at the new Start Screen again, including an option that will enables the Start Menu whenever you press the Windows key on your keyboard. There is also the option to boot directly into the desktop so that you never have to use the Start Screen ever again.

Samsung Galaxy S4 May Get Snapdragon 800 Processor

The Samsung Galaxy S4 currently comes with two different processors depending on the region. In some parts of the world, it utilizes a Snapdragon 600 processor from Qualcomm, in others, a Exynos 5 Octa processor from Samsung itself. Now, thanks to a new benchmark, it appears that the device may ultimately come with another processor type, the powerful Snapdragon 800 processor from Qualcomm.
At CES 2013, Samsung and Qualcomm both made big announcements. Samsung revealed its Exynos 5 Octa processor, an octo-core chip that sports eight different cores, but only uses four of them at a time, depending on usage. Qualcomm on the other hand introduced not one, but two new quad-core chips in the Snapdragon 600 and the Snapdragon 800.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 could get a Snapdragon 800 processor.

The Snapdragon 600, like the Exynos 5 Octa, has appeared in the variants of the Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone, providing users with good performance and efficient battery life.
It appears that Samsung may not be done with the Galaxy S4 after it releases the Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy S4 Active and Galaxy S4. RBMen discovered a benchmark that points to a new Galaxy S4, possibly called the Galaxy S4 Advanced, that may be sporting a Snapdragon 800 quad-core chip. The AnTuTu benchmark showcases a chip running at around 2.3GHz and a device running Android 4.2, not Android 4.3.
Possible Galaxy S4 Advanced benchmark.

The device will reportedly land with the new processor in and around August, ahead of the Advanced-LTE roll out in Korea. This points to it possibly being an exclusive in Korea though because the device is unconfirmed, and benchmarks can easily be faked, it’s impossible to say if, when, or how this device will launch.
Surely, there will be plenty of consumers hoping for a launch elsewhere as the Snapdragon 800 is a powerful processor and one that is rumored to be coming inside the Galaxy Note 3.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 is not only going to improve performance over the Snapdragon 600 but it should bring features like quicker charging, better battery life, support for more game engines and more. It’s a powerful chip and one that should arrive on a number of high-end smartphones and tablets before the end of the year.
Whether it comes to the Samsung Galaxy S4 or not remains to be seen but judging by Samsung’s aggressive launch, it can’t be ruled out just yet.

PlayStation Plus Adds Three More Big-Name Titles To Instant Game Collection In June

June's PlayStation Plus Instant Collection titles were already pretty darn impressive. Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Saints Row: The Third, Machinarium, Orc Attack, and Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward were already going to have PS3 and Vita owners with a full plate. But wait, there's more.
Sony has announced that three more are coming to Instant Collection this month. XCOM: Enemy Unknown, LittleBigPlanet Karting, and Uncharted 3's single-player campaign (the multiplayer is already free and the Plus download includes both) will be rolling out over the coming weeks. That's six PlayStation 3 titles and three Vita games just this month.
Now, Sony just needs to let us know how PlayStation Plus will work on the PS4 and we'll be all set. Stay tuned for our E3 coverage (already underway) to find out what Sony has in store.

FREE INTERNET FOR LIFETIME FreeNet: The Underground Internet

509
The Freenet Project is essentially an internet within the internet, but with absolutely no censorship. The information hosted on Freenet is encryted and routed through many different nodes, which makes it incredibly difficult to track who is providing and requesting the information on its servers. Thus Freenet accomplishes absolute freedom of speech! Something we shouldn’t have to strive for especially in the U.S., but nonetheless, it’s here. All you have to do to access Freenet is going here and download it, then it will be seamlessly integrated into a browser window.
What can you do on Freenet? A lot of things, as listed below, but the most fun is in just browsing around and looking at the bizarre content that just would not be found anywhere else.
- like Limewire or torrents, Freenet serves as a P2P sharing network allowing you to download massive files for free (and without worry of getting fined for pirating!)
- publish your own Freenet site with whatever content you want
-  communicate via message boards
- send private emails to other users
- browse the large amount of information available on Freenet
What info/data is on Freenet?
music, video, picture and application files
- many different texts, i.e. Bomb-Making Manual and Guide to Homemade Poisons (not all of the material is this dark in nature, don’t be discouraged)
- Freetube – the YouTube of Freenet, showing links to all videos uploaded to the server
Note:
Freenet will move pretty slowly at first, but it will pick up speed as your use it more because more of the information will already be stored in your cache. It will also ask you questions why you are configuring your settings like “How concerned are you that your computer will be seized and searched through?” Don’t be scared by that, it’s just configuring your security settings. Yes, it is that underground, some of the information on this server is pretty secretive. Enjoy!

“Dalai Lama’s 18 Rules for Living” Expanded

“Dalai Lama’s 18 Rules for Living” Expanded

529
1. Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.Risk is involved in every great opportunity in life. It it isn’t risky, then everyone would be doing, thus making it ordinary and not “great.” Separate yourself from the crowd as one who not only can take risks, but enjoys doing so. Certainty in life can only be so comforting until it gets boring.
2. When you lose, don’t lose the lesson.
If you lose what you have learned not to do, you will be doomed to repeat it. More importantly, however, do fear failure. Failure is the precursor to success. Hardly any great thing that you wish to accomplish will come without failure. This ties back to the rule of risk mentioned above.
3. Follow the three Rs:
  1. Respect for self – Confidence is key in success and one who does you respect himself does not believe in himself. Thus, if you do not respect yourself, you cannot possibly succeed in anything great, nor can you respect others.
  2. Respect for others – And you will be respected in return. Anyone who does not return that respect is immediately letting you know that they are not worth your time, and that they do not respect themselves. Avoid weak/insecure/self-loathing people.
  3. Responsibility for all your actions – You alone are responsible for your feelings, actions, success, etc. You are in complete control of your life, so do not try and blame other people for your mistakes or misfortunes.
4. Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck. Not everything that you desire will be necessarily good for you in the long run. If something just seems to not work out continually, in such a way that it seems almost like fate intervened, consider letting it go or coming back to it at another time. The Universe works in mysterious ways and should be trusted. Just be sure you are not mistaking your own failure as the Universe telling you something.
5. Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly. Rules are meant to be broken. Most of them are put in place by archaic, corrupt institutions that seek only to enslave and maintain their own power. When it comes to breaking them, be sure to do it properly to avoid punishment. But above all things, make sure you DO in fact break rules. If authority was never questioned, we could be a stagnant civilization.

6. Don’t let a little dispute injure a great friendship. Obviously friendship is more important that one small fight, but very few people actually put this rule into practice. They also need to be able to follow rule #7 in order to truly follow #6.

7. When you realize you’ve made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.And do not let your pride get in the way of taking those steps. Apologize, taking full responsibility. That will speak for your character more strongly than the action of making the mistake in the first place.

8. Spend some time alone every day. No matter what you do, take at least 30 minutes out of your day to spend alone in a quiet place. This will give you at least a half-hour to examine what is going on in your life, to examine yourself and to figure out what you want. Whether it be through prayer, meditation, yoga or golf, this ritual is a must. The Law of Attraction is the best way to spend this time.

9. Open your arms to change, but don’t let go of your values. This world is constantly changing. If you are not open to change, then you are going to live a very miserable life. You, yourself, are going to change as well, but that does not mean that your values have to change as well. Welcome new places, new faces and new loves, but never change those core parts of you unless you have strong reasons to believe you were wrong to believe them in the first place.

10. Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer. Silence leads to relaxed contemplation during which emotions have less influence and logic can take over. For example, in an argument with a friend, remaining silent instead of retaliating with something anger-driven is more efficient in ending the argument faster and with less hurt for both parties. Or consider Gandhi, who took down the British Empire through silent, pacifistic behavior. Silence is a powerful tool that few choose to use over irrational action. Consider it next time you find yourself in a difficult situation.

11. Live a good, honourable life. Then when you get older and think back, you’ll be able to enjoy it a second time. You are going to have to live with your actions for the rest of your life, so save yourself the regret and anguish and live with honor now. Good things also come to good people. You will never be punished for acting with integrity, only rewarded.

12. A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for your life.
This is the rule that you have the least amount of control over. Your family dynamic will ultimately determine your home atmosphere, but you can definitely help it along by showing your family that you love them. As in rule #3, if you respect (love) your family, they will provide you with respect and love in return. This rule comes to play again when starting a family. Inject love into your home. Make the walls glisten with endearment. That will set a solid foundation for the lives of your children.
13. In disagreements with loved ones, deal only with the current situation. Don’t bring up the past. The past is constant, unchanging. Bringing it up can only bring more pain to the current situation. This is a problem especially with loved ones because relationships with them go so far back into the past and are so fueled by emotion. Forgive any past actions and focus on the present.

14. Share your knowledge. It’s a way to achieve immortality.
One learns so much just from living a lifetime. Share that knowledge with the people you come across, it can only help them in their journeys. Even more important, share your failures so that others will not repeat them.

15. Be gentle with the earth. The earth is where we live. So this should be obvious. Hurting the earth is hurting yourself and the futures of your children and loved ones.

16. Once a year As often as possible, go someplace you’ve never been before.Experience new places and new things. You might find yourself with someone or somewhere that makes you much happier than your previous circumstance. The Earth is so vast with unique and beautiful places, why wouldn’t you want to go explore them?

17. Remember that the best relationship is one in which your love for each other exceeds your need for each other. The opposite is a sign that the relationship should end. If you need someone more than you love them, it is a sign of dependency, not affection. Find someone where love is the dominant force and you will find yourself in a much more fulfilling relationship.

18. Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it. Success is not truly success if you had to compromise yourself or your loved ones in order to achieve it. Decide what you want. Design your ideal life and go for it. Do not let any part of that dream slip away in order to get the rest of you will live in regret.

Rules Added By HighExistence

19. Live in the moment. This could be the single most important piece of advice you ever heed to. Do not forget nor dwell on the past, but do forgive it. Be aware of the future but do no fear or worry about it. Focus on the present moment, and that moment alone. All of the cliche phrases center around this all-important mantra: Live life to the fullest, seize the day, etc. Living in any other moment will only bring you anguish. The past cannot be changed and the future cannot be controlled. The only time that is malleable is the present moment! If you live in the now, you will be much happier since the past and future cannot weigh down on you. See the good in your current surroundings and be happy.

20. Seek the company of positive people. The people around you cannot control your feeling and actions, but they can influence them. So befriend and spend your time with optimistic, open-minded, overall positive people who will only contribute more positivity to your life. When you have risky an unrealistic goals, they will support you instead of doubting and/or ridiculing you like most of the general population. When you find fun in an otherwise dreary or dull situation, they will see it too instead of complaining like negative, or even neutral people would. At a superficial level, your social life will be a lot more enjoyable if you restrict your relationships to positive people. On a deep level, your life in general will only benefit from such a decision.

21. Decide what you want before proceed to do anything. This is a hard rule to follow because it is so difficult to figure out what you truly want. Most people think this is a simple rule: “I want a lot of money, a job I like, nice car, nice house, hot spouse, etc.” The ‘American Dream’ provides an easy answer to what you want, but is that truly what you want? That answer requires a lot more thinking. More than just thinking actually, deep deep contemplation in a quiet place on your own. This is not something you will get on your first try, or your 15th. It might just come to you in a dream one night, or an epiphany while sitting on the toilet. It’s not at all certain when it will come, but if you are persistent and really try to figure out your dream, it will come to you. Once you have figured out what you want, the only thing left is to do whatever possible to get it. This brings up rule #1 again… RISK! Disregard it, and go for it. This is your DREAM, your IDEAL, your ULTIMATE DESIRE. Go get it.

BlackBerry A10 coming this year

As BlackBerry is busy rolling out its first QWERTY smartphone running on BlackBerry 10 operating system, BlackBerry Q10, there are news reports emerging that suggest the company is working on a new all-touch flagship model.
BlackBerry_10_Jam.jpg
As per a report by CNET, this smartphone will be called BlackBerry A10. The report also claims that BlackBerry will be looking at launching the A10 around November in time for the holiday season. The BlackBerry A10 is likely to be the successor of BlackBerry Z10 and will "occupy the highest tier". Post the launch of BlackBerry A10, BlackBerry Z10 and Q10 will be become "midtier" smartphones.
BlackBerry had recently showcased its lower-end QWERTY smartphone, Q5. This smartphone is expected to start retailing in select markets from July. After the debut of BlackBerry A10, this smartphone will continue to be one of the most affordable offerings by the Canadian smartphone maker.
CNET also hints that BlackBerry A10 will debut in the United States with the telecom operator Sprint Nextel. Interestingly at the time of Z10 launch, Sprint was the only major telecom operator that did not offer this BlackBerry flagship. The website claims that Sprint's reason to skip BlackBerry Z10 was based on the understanding that the BlackBerry A10 is worth the wait.
The report also mentions that the Canadian smartphone maker was pressurised to launch the BlackBerry A10 at the BlackBerry Live conference held in May 2013. However, the company could not do so, as the product was not ready.
BlackBerry A10 is said to be the same smartphone which was code-named Aristo. As per past rumours, this smartphone is expected to come with a premium build. This smartphone is also touted to come with a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED display and 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor.

Leaked Windows Phone screenshots reveal............

Windows Phone 8.1

It would seem that Microsoft's Windows Phone stage will at long last be honored with a 'notifications Center' as emitted screenshots of a W.i.p. Windows Phone 8 upgrade showcases the same.

In 2012, Microsoft was striking enough to state that they "used up time" with the improvement of Windows Phone 8 to incorporate a 'notifications Center', much to every living soul's disappoint. A warnings drop down board is exceptionally of service to check all pending notices and go to them, and have the ability to rapidly start certain foundation applications or check their status. It's awful enough that all major portable working frameworks had a notices drop down board even before Windows Phone 8 discharged, and to see another stage discharge without one expedite numerous new Windows Phone clients pointlessly attempt to force down a menu from the top edge of the screen before at last adjusting to its nonappearance through and through.
Dripped screenshots of an upcoming programming adaptation 12084.wpmain(wpbldlab).20130509-1407 (gathered May 9th) showcase a 'notifications Center' in Microsoft's smooth versatile Os. Extra Ui progressions are additionally in tow (check appended screenshots) and Microsoft has a few upgrades to the multi-tasking view besides (adding an alternative to close applications from inside the multi-tasking perspective) .

The dripped screenshots (surely a handful), show a specific application named "Here Drive" say "deltablue" at the close of its name. We can identify Blue to Windows Phone 8.1 Blue yet don't truly know where to place the remnant of the statement. In spite of that, we don't question that this is in reality a working manufacture of a destiny form of Windows Phone 8. Don't be frightened by the amount of applications beginning with the letter "z" as that is regular with past W.i.p. (Dripped) assembles of Windows Phone.
