Galaxy Note 3 might still sport unbreakable YOUM display, Samsung management with a month to decide

Galaxy Note 3 might still sport unbreakable YOUM display, Samsung management with a month to decide
It seems that the heavy word hasn't been spoken by the management regarding the eventual flexible AMOLED display in the upcoming Galaxy Note 3 phablet.

We heard that there are at least three versions in testing before, and one is outfitted with the plastic substrate OLED display of Samsung's YOUMbrand, that should make the device more durable should you drop it, thanks to the bendable nature of the screen.

Now producing those flexible panels for the giant Note 3 in the quantities that the phone is likely to sell, has proven to be a challenge for Samsung, yet a batch is still likely to be greenlit, depending on the production advancements, says a Korean publication, and the management has until the end of August to mull exactly how things will proceed.

Apparently by then it will be clear if Samsung Display will be able to churn out enough Full HD screens with plastic substrates, so we can see the first such phone from Samsung materialize in the Note 3, or perhaps a separate version of it with more limited availability, marketed with "unbreakable" display. We cross fingers for at least the latter, as there's still a month to go.
