Polaroid’s popular iPhone app Polamatic graces Android with 20 filters and lots of flare

iPhone owners have been enjoying Polaroid’s digital resurgence for over a year through the popular Polamatic app, and now Android users can join in the fun.
The Instagram-like app comes with 20 filters and 36 frames, along with an easy shooting interface and the ability to share photos to one of many social networks. Each frame has been digitally scanned — Polaroid is quick to point out they are not computer-generated — to add authenticity, and the filters appear to be more than mere Instagram clones (or rather copies of what Instagram cloned in the first place).
Users can also caption photos, add minor effects and finish off the experience with a crop.
At $2.09CDN, Polamatic is not cheap, but it appears to be a polished and fun camera app.
Update: The app is currently on sale for 50% off at $1.04.
