The Sony Honami system dump has been floating around for only a few days now, but XDA Developer krabappel2548 has already managed to port the yet to be released device’s camera application to the Sony XperiaZ, ZL, and Tablet Z.
Before you go jumping for joy just yet, to get the Honami’s camera application on your (supported) Xperia device, you’ll need to be rooted, running the stock and deodexed Android 4.2.2 ROM. That said, if you’ve already cleared those hurdles, then it’s as easy as downloading, flashing, and wiping the cache and Dalvik cache, and clearing the data for the camera application in settings. From there, you should have access to the Honami camera and most of the features that it brings to the table, including:

- Time Shift
- Photo Effect
- Manual Capture Mode
- Info-Eye
- Sweep Panorama

The new camera application brings a host of new features and functionality to the already pretty nice camera UI on the Xperia devices. Since the app wasn’t specifically developed for the Z, ZL, or Tablet Z, a few things may be missing. Nonetheless, if you’re looking for some new features on your supported Xperia device’s camera, your plans have been set for you.
