Asus is such a tease.
Asus sent over a little "evolution" teaser revealing that information about the Maximus VI Formula Haswell-based motherboard will be arriving soon.
The upcoming motherboard builds on the previous two released in 2011 and 2012, theRampage IV Formula and the Maximus V Formula motherboards respectively, both of which feature the previously discrete audio solution, SupremeFX. However as shown above, the company is refraining from providing specific details regarding the new board until a later date. Perhaps during Computex next month?
"As you know, ROG has lead the industry with more [firsts] than any other board vendor including our Supreme FX discrete/isolated audio design 'Redline'," the company said. "We are now introducing an even more advanced version of Supreme FX on the upcoming Formula. This is addition to the specialized features such as Sonic Radar and Perfect Voice already included for SupremeFX enabled boards for Z87."
In 2011 Asus released the Rampage IV Formula motherboard supporting the second-generation Core i7 processor family for the LGA 2011 Socket. It sports SupremeFX III which introduces a backlit "RED Line PCB isolation" feature that highlights the physical separation of the audio aspect from the rest of the motherboard components. Also added is a 1500uF buffer cap for line conditioning (and a clearer signal), a dedicated audio layer, and SupremeFX shielding.
Then in 2012, Asus launched the Maximus V Formula motherboard featuring a LGA1155 socket for Intel second and third-generation Core i7/ i5/ i3/Pentium/Celeron processors. It features the newer SupremeFX IV which builds upon the previous version by adding a TPA6120 headphone amp and premium ELNA capacitors specifically designed for audio applications along with all the goodies introduced in the 2011 motherboard.
So what's next? We can only speculate until the company release more information soon, so stay tuned.
