While its maker is busy getting the hype up for its new flagship, a Micromax A92 Canvas Lite smartphone has been spotted online, boasting of a 5-inch display and an affordable retail value of Rs 8,499. Like with most of its new products lately, Micromax has again remained mum about this launch. The product has been listed only by Flipkart, but the said e-retailer is yet to start selling it.
By the looks of it, it seems as though the Micromax A92 Canvas Lite is an enhanced version of the Viva smartphone which the company had launched back in April this year. Just like the previous device, this one too grabs hold of a 5-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display infused with a WVGA resolution of 480 x 800 pixels.
One of the main differences between the two phones however is that the new model adopts theAndroid Jelly Bean 4.1 platform instead of the Viva’s outdated Gingerbread OS. This dual SIM offering ships with a 1GHz dual core chip placed inside its body, while a 512MB RAM is also there to assist the processor in its operations.
A 5MP camera has been granted to the device as well, along with 4GB worth of internal memoryand a expansion slot bearing support for 32GB of added storage. Furthermore, its 2,000mAh Li-Ion battery is capable of providing 6 hours of talktime and 240 hours of standby time over 2G.
Even as we’re seeing a new smartphone from the Gurgaon-based firm, the company is hard at work preparing for the launch of its fourth generation flagship device. Not much is known about this handset, but it has nonetheless been put up for pre-bookings. July 8 is the date on which it will be unveiled.
Coming back to the A92 Canvas Lite, it can be spotted now on Flipkart with its price tagged at Rs 8,499.
