aTV Flash updated with Apple TV 5.3 support, brings new improvements

FireCore announced today that they have released a new aTV Flash update which brings support for Apple TV 5.3 as well as a handful of new features and stability improvements.
aTV Flash is actually called a supercharger for Apple TV. It unleashes a plethora of new functionality for Apple’s set-top box, and allowing users to play popular media formats like MKV, AVI, MP4 and lets users surf the web on their TV. The new update comes with support for the recently released Apple TV 5.3 firmware, FireCore says that this update is their first step towards bringing more functionality to the device.
Apart from 5.3 software compatibility, the update adds support for Croatian, Hungarian, Romanian and Slovak localisations. There’s improved metadata fetching, improved detection of subtitle encoding, improved reliability of settings backs as well as better Dolby (AC3) audio. Minor bug fixes are present as well as some performance related improvements.
Those who already have a previous version of aTV Flash installed can get this new update in Maintenance menu under the Manage section’s Extras menu. First time download will cost $29.99. You will need a jailbroken Apple TV to install aTV Flash.
