ZTE Nubia Z5 mini to be unveiled on Tuesday

Releasing Mini versions of flagship smartphones seems to be all the rage nowadays. While Samsung has “patented” the strategy by releasing the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini last year and the Galaxy S4 Mini not long ago, it looks like other manufacturers have take a page from Sammy’s handbook.
We’ve known for a while that HTC is actively working on the One Mini and roughly one week and a half ago word was out that ZTE is also having a “Mini” device in the works – the ZTE Nubia Z5 Mini. Join us after the break to see if this rumor was accurate.

During the weekend, invites to a press event have been sent out in China, and as you can see above, the ZTE Nubia Z5 Mini is as real as it gets.
According to the aforementioned invites, ZTE will officially unveil its smartphone tomorrow, July 16th.
The interesting fact is that it looks like ZTE is trying to give us some hints in regards to the Nubia Z5 Mini: the central part of the invite you see above shows the “Z5 Mini” moniker painted in a bunch of different and vivid colors while, on the its back, ZTE has printed the following 4 words – “Memory, Incredible. New, Infinite“. Any idea what the manufacturer is trying to convey?
However, this is not all. Very recently a pic claiming to feature the actual device has surfaced on the blogosphere. Check it out.

As far as the Nubia Z5 Mini specs go, we have no new info to report. Earlier rumors have claimed that the device will feature a 4.7-inch 720p display, a Snapdragon 600 CPU clocked at 1.5Ghz, 2GB of RAM and an 8MP rear-facing camera.
The smartphone will allegedly run on Android 4.2.2, measure 65.7 x 134.8 x 10.3mm and weight 160g.
Would you be interested in a Mini version of the ZTE Nubia Z5? Is it possible for the Mini version to actually be more powerful (ZTE Nubia Z5 is powered by a Snapdragon S4 Pro)? Let us know what you think in the comments section.
