Oppo U2S and Find Clover phones appear out of nowhere, could be released soon

Seeing as Oppo’s latest flagship phone, the Find 5, can still hold its own against most Android heavyweights (especially in terms of pricing), and its follow-up, dubbed Find 7, will not become official anytime soon, you might expect everything to be quiet on the Oppo front.

But it’s not, with rumors of a Find 5 Mini and mystery Android-based smart cam intensifying. And to top it all off, we have two new Oppo handhelds to present to you: the U2S (aka U707t) and Find Clover (model number R815).
Oddly, the two have emerged essentially at the same time and come with high-quality pics (some official, some not so much), plus almost full spec sheets. There’s no word on exact release dates, but given the magnitude of the information spills, formal intros are most definitely in the cards for the next few weeks.
Oppo U2S-2
Now, where shall we start? Let’s kick it off with the U2S, since it’s clearly the more technically impressive fellow of the newly leaked duo. Based only on its name, one might expect it to be just a minor upgrade over the Ulike 2. But that’s not the case.
Not exactly, as the U2S is tipped to sport a much larger and crisper 5.5-inch 720p display, plus a massive 3,000 mAh battery. On the software side of things, Oppo will replace the dated Android 4.0 ICS with a brand new Jelly Bean flavor (4.2), whereas most of the other features sound far less exciting – 8 MP rear cam, 1 GB of RAM, 1.2 GHz quad-core MT6589 CPU, dual SIM support.

As far as the Find Clover goes, this will likely not be marketed as the Find 5 Mini, but it might as well be. Sporting a petite (by 2013 standards) 4.3-inch display with a modest (by any standards) 800 x 480 resolution, the baby will have but a couple of aces up its sleeve: quad-core Snapdragon 400 power and a low, low price of $235.

Other than that, you really have nothing to write home about, as the Find Clover is set to feature 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage, microSD support, a 1,700 mAh battery, 5 MP rear snapper and dual-SIM support.
