Latest Motorola DROID Ultra leak shows both sides of eagerly awaited handset

Following up on its tweet revealing an image of the Motorola DROID MAXX (XT-1080M), evleaks has disseminated a new picture on Monday, revealing a render of both sides of the Motorola DROID Ultra (XT-1080). The Kevlar build remains a hallmark of the recent DROID line and the Ultra is definitely going to to live up to its name specs-wise. We anticipate seeing the phone launch with a 5 inch screen featuring resolution of 1080 x 1920, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM. With the Motorola Moto X already pegged as offering a mid-range experience, this might be the highest spec'd DROID model for now.

A couple of comments about the cosmetics of the device. The Motorola DROID Ultra is thinner than the 'MAXX' version that evleaks outed the other day. This makes sense because of the thicker cell used for the extended battery. Also, the phone will be available in black, white (XT-1080W) and red (XT-1080R). We should also point out the lack of any branding on the front of the phone save for a small Motorola bat wings logo on the front corner of the phone.

While we are told not to expect the Motorola Moto X at the manufacturer's July 11th event, no one said anything about the new DROID models.
