Samsung Galaxy Note III to pack a smaller 5.7-inch display

Specifications for a Smartphone don’t just change this late in its development or this close from its imminent release, but it not everyday that evleaks gets it wrong. The latest buzz is that the Galaxy Note III packs a 5.7-inch display, smaller than the originally rumored 5.99-inch panel.

For all those who were fantasizing about holding a 6-inch Galaxy Note III and playing with it, you are in for a disappointment. Whereas, for all those who were wondering why any company in their right mind would make an even bigger sized phone, looks like your prayers were heard. The latest word from serial leaked evleaks is that the Galaxy Note III, the sequel to the best-selling Galaxy Note II (2012) will pack a 5.7-inch display, down from the originally rumored 5.99-inch Super AMOLED panel.

The tweet contains no other information regarding the phablet. We’re hoping that this means all rumored internal specifications remain the same, that being a Snapdragon 800 SoC, 13 MP camera, 3000-4000 mAh battery and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The new 5.7-inch panel will also undoubtedly be a 1080p (1920 x 1080) Super AMOLED one. This actually makes possible for the Galaxy Note III to fit the dimensions and even turn out thinner than the Note II. In short, the Note III will follow in the footsteps of the Galaxy S4 by offering a new flagship of the same dimensions, albeit thinner, lighter and of course, much faster than the predecessor.
