Sony Comments on PS3 Firmware 4.45 Issues, says "Investigation On"

Earlier today Sony released PS3 firmware 4.45, but sadly for gamers instead of improving PS3 stability and adding new features firmware 4.45 caused numerous issues (bricking PS3 and more).

PS3 Firmware 4.45PS3 gamers across the globe are reporting that their PS3 aren't booting up after updating to firmware 4.45. Sony has temporarily taken firmware 4.45 offline and are investigating the actual cause of the problem.

Here is what the official statement of Sony reads:

"We are aware of reports that the recent PlayStation 3 system software update (version 4.45) has caused the XMB to not display on a small number of PS3 systems. We have temporarily taken 4.45 offline and are investigating the cause of the problem. We will announce when the system update is available for download as soon as possible. We apologise for the inconvenience."

It is expected that Sony will release a new PS3 firmware soon (may be in next 24 hours or so). We will update the post as soon as we get to hear some details from Sony.
