Google Maps Navigation Expands Into New Countries Including Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Peru, Thailand, Ethiopia, And A Ton More

To go along with the release of the long-awaited Google Maps update yesterday, Mountain View has just updated the list of countries with full Google Navigation support. There are 18 confirmed new countries, and two that went from limited to full coverage.

Here is the list of new countries for navigation confirmed by Google:
  • Cameroon
  • Costa Rica
  • Dominican Republic
  • Ecuador
  • Ethiopia
  • Guatemala
  • Indonesia
  • Malaysia
  • Nigeria
  • Oman
  • Peru
  • Philippines
  • Rwanda 
  • Slovenia
  • Taiwan (Google added it after our post went live)
  • Thailand 
  • Uganda
  • Uruguay
  • Venezuela
Expansion of Navigation from limited coverage to full in the following:
  • Algeria
  • Bahrain
This is the biggest one-time expansion of Google Navigation, and it might not even be over yet. Users are also saying El Salvador and Chile are now live too. We'll update if we can confirm any more locations.
