ASUS has launched its newest Ultrabook, adding a new 15.6-inch touch-enabled notebook to their growing profile, the VivoBook S551. Powered by the latest Intel 4th Generation Haswell Core microprocessor that gives enough juice to power through every CPU related application, this Ultrabook doesn’t compromise when it comes to graphics either, with a mobile Nvidia GT 740M balancing well between power, performance and a low heat dissipation (necessary for thin Ultrabooks).
The VivoBook S551 comes with Windows 8, a touch-driven OS, whose potential can be fully realised by the users thanks to the touch-enabled display on this Ultrabook. Thanks to the new 22nm microprocessor, a power-efficient 28nm GPU and ASUS power management features, this 22.5mm thick, 2.4 KG weight device can easily last 6 hours of average usage that includes Office, browsing, etc.
No further word on pricing and availability as of yet, but we fully the Ultrabook to be available very soon and for an attractive, perhaps sub-$999 price tag.
