Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 performance and specifications leaked
We have the leaked specifications and benchmark scores of Nvidia’s upcoming mid-range GTX 760 graphics processing unit.
Having launched the GTX 780 (a cut-down GTX Titan, GK110 die) and the GTX 770 (a rebranded GTX 680 with faster clocks, GK104 die), the next logical step for Nvidia would be to launch the GTX 760. Unlike the GTX 600 series, we won’t be seeing two distinct models in the form of GTX 760 Ti and non-Ti SKUs. This time round, there will only be one SKU.
Get ready to feel disappointed, the new GTX 760 GPU has 1152 CUDA cores, much lesser than the 1344 that the GTX 660 Ti and GTX 670 enjoys. It is unlikely that Nvidia will make up for the fewer cores with increased clock speeds as they haven’t changed much at all. Memory bandwidth however has received a big boost, thanks to the use of the new 7.0 Gbps memory chips.
Chiploco reports 3D Mark benchmark scores for the GTX 760, and here they are:
- 3DMark 11 Performance Score: Px830 (Assuming 8830)
Thankfully, sources put the launch of the GTX 760 to be real soon, perhaps even just a week away. That’s good news, because it means that we won’t have to wait awfully long to check out the performance of this to-be $300 GPU whose direct competition will be the AMD HD 7950.
