First pictures of the revised Suzuki Swift have been leaked onto the Internet by a Belgian website
The facelifted Suzuki Swift wasn't due to be revealed until the end of the year, but first pictures of the revised model have already been leaked onto the Internet by the manufacturer's own employees.
Official press pictures of the facelifted supermini appeared on Suzuki's Belgian customer website earlier today, before being taken down shortly afterwards. It is said that the new car was supposed to be revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
The changes are subtle but include a new front bumper, with LED running lights integrated into the front fog lights for a wider stance. New paint options and alloy wheels also help to spruce up the design, but the overall shape will be instantly familiar to owners of the current car.
The engine line-up will be carried over, so buyers can choose from either a 1.2-litre petrol engine with 94bhp or a 1.3-litre diesel with 75bhp and extra torque. A source within the company told us that other major changes to the line-up will be the addition of a 4x4 model that will rival the Fiat Panda 4x4 and a five-door version of the Suzuki Swift Sport hot hatch.
Our source also confirmed that the exterior styling of the sportier Swift will be carried over unchanged, while the only changes to the interior are expected to be subtle tweak - such as new colours for the dials - to help set it apart from its predecessor.
