Lenovo launches first 15-inch ThinkPad

Lenovo has announced the ThinkPad S531 Ultrabook, complete with slim design and clever bevelled edges that make the laptop appear to be floating.
article-titleThe S531 does however miss out in the latest generation Haswell processors from Intel, instead opting for a 3rd generation, although Lenovo is yet to announce whether it's an i3, i5 or i7.
Other tech specs include up to nine hour battery life, up to 10GB of RAM and 500GB of storage. The laptop is naturally running on Windows 8.
“The progressive design of our ThinkPad S531 will help small businesses impress their customers. We pack a punch behind that style, however, as we are committed to delivering genuine substance with improved performance, battery life and legendary ThinkPad reliability,” said Vincent Fauquenot, VP Products and Channels, Lenovo EMEA. “The ThinkPad S531 offers an intuitive Windows 8 experience with the power needed to accelerate productivity.”
The S531 also uses Lenovo's OneLink technology, which lets you connect to the OneLink Dock via a single cable for a full dedicate video signal and also provides additional USB 3.0 ports as well as ethernet.
The S531 will ship with a choice of displays and prices start at £575. Businesses can pick up the new Laptop from Lenovo's website.
