Former HTC Execs Start Kazam, A New Phone Manufacturer

kazamTwo former HTC executives are launching their own smartphone manufacturing company, Kazam, according to a report from CNET. Micheal Coombes, former head of U.K. sales for HTC and James Atkins, former U.K. marketing head for HTC are launching Kazam, and will develop smartphones that offer “stunning design, robust hardware, and intuitive technology, underpinned with improved customer service.” The company will focus on the European market, and plans on offering continuing support for their products after they are purchased.

The former HTC execs will take the helm of Kazam, with Coombes taking the position of CEO and Atkins serving as chief marketing officer. The company has not announced any carrier markets or when devices will start hitting store shelves, or what kind of specs or mobile OS they will be using. Android is presumed to be the OS of choice, but only time will tell what Kazam has in store.
