According to La Tribune, the new Duster facelift will be premiered at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show in September this year. The crossover will be seen with a host of refreshing makeovers which will include a new front fascia which is also seen on the Logan and Sandero. Besides its exterior design, interiors will also be revamped and will include classic upholstery and a new infotainment system with GPS navigation. These modifications will go a long way in enhancing sales.
Reports also suggest that the restyled Duster will sport a touchscreen (as standard), an upgraded dashboard and plush upholstery seen on its seats and door linings. The facelifted Duster will have better soundproofing in its interiors while engines have also been improvised to offer less auto emissions and to be more fuel efficient than before.
Once unveiled, the new Duster is expected to be launched in Europe first. Whereas in India, it is not expected to arrive before 2014. Until then, the existing Duster, which is now the best selling Renault car globally (and India too) for 2013, will have to prove it’s ground against a new rival in India, Ford EcoSport. Ford India launched the new EcoSport earlier today with a starting price of Rs 5.59 lakhs. Renault Duster price starts from Rs 7.99 lakhs.
