After seeding the first beta last week, Apple has just now seeded OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.5 beta build 12F13 to developers. This seed does not come with any known issues.
The latest OS X release that Apple offers to customers right now it OS X Mountain Lion. Despite the fact that Apple has already unveiled OS X Mavericks, the former retains its top spot because the latter won’t be publicly released till fall.
Last week Apple seeded the OS X 10.8.5 first beta to developers, and today the second beta has been seeded. Developers have been told to keep working on things they were advised to in the first beta.
Like before, developers have been asked to focus on Graphics, Wake from Sleep, PDF viewing and Accessibility, Mobile Device Management and Wi-Fi. Developers had their hands on the first beta for exactly one week now but it seems like they have not been able to report any major issues in the new software. The release notes of this build list no major known issues. This Mountain Lion update is actually an incremental update, it is expected to be released in the next couple of weeks.
