Scotiabank has consistently been one of the most mobile-focused of Canada’s big five banks, and with today’s release of the iTrade app for iPad, they’re making inroads into the tablet market as well.
The company already has an iPad app for its regular banking users, but iTrade focuses on independent brokering, allowing individual users to buy and sell stocks, bonds and ETFs as well as monitor the various markets and check in on the performance of individual companies.
Scotiabank users can also transfer funds between chequing and trading accounts, in addition to reading thorough analysis from brokers within and without the company.
Looks like a great addition to any trader’s iPad. No word on whether Scotiabank will be releasing an Android tablet version.
