Next generation 13 inch MacBook Pro benchmarks hint at slight performance improvement
It was rumored prior to WWDC 2013 that Apple would unveil new models of both MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, while we did see a new lineup of the former, the company didn’t say anything about the latter. The benchmarks for this unreleased 13 inch MacBook Pro have been spotted in Geekbench results database, it is not known whether this is the Retina or non-Retina model, though both variants should be theoretically similar in performance if they’re running the same processor. The results show that this machine, carrying “AAPLJ33,1″ codename, runs a 2.4GHz Intel Core i5-4258U dualcore processor with 7GB RAM and June 5 dated Boost ROM. Its running Build 13A2050 of OS X Mavericks, which is said to be a special build. It is believed that the next generation MacBook Pro models will also be refreshed with Intel’s Haswell processors just like MacBook Air models have been, these results lend weight to that assumption.
