On 18 June, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) approved a new design patent from Samsung. With the Samsung Premiere event tonight at the prospect - where it presumably will introduce several new devices - makes it more interesting to look at this patent further.
The new design of the Samsung smartphone has no physical buttons on the front and on the right side, as shown in the picture above. The leftmost image shows that the touch buttons are not visible when the screen is off. At the back is to find a back camera but no LED flash. The most striking is perhaps the new symbol on the left below the screen, next to the home, back and search button private function going to get. But the question is: what function?
The new Samsung design patent is registered under the name of D684, 554 and was first completed in May 2012. The USPTO has the patent on June 18 made public and published by Patent Bolt .
Given the somewhat simple design and the lack of an LED flash, I suspect it's a low-end smartphone is going to be. Well I wonder what does the new symbol. Do you have any idea?
